Step1: Install WallCooler on the first computer

Get WallCooler installer from our download page.
Run the installer and follow the instructions.
You might be asked to restart your computer after the installation is completed.
You need Administrator privileges (or equivalent) to install WallCooler.
 
An account consists of a login (your email address) and a password. It is needed to sign in to the Vedivi servers from both computers (to locate each other & bootstrap the VPN connection).

If you have not already done so, create your Standard account (free):
  • Open WallCooler (Start->All Programs->WallCooler)
  • Click on Set-up your Vedivi account (free) (in My Account).
  • Follow the online instructions (just need a valid email address and a password)
Using WallCooler only requires one account (use it to sign-in on both computers)
 
Step 3: Sign-In on the first computer (ex: Home)

Open WallCooler (Start->All Programs->WallCooler), select Sign In in Manage Account.
Enter your login & password (created in step 2).

If you access the Internet through a proxy, click on Connection Settings... to set it up.
Please read this note if you are connecting to the Internet using a PPP adapter (3G card, modem) or USB Wifi
Click on Sign In button.

Details of your account will be displayed and your Account status will move to “Online”.
 
Step 4: Sign-In on the second computer (ex: Office or Laptop)

Download & install WallCooler on the second computer (ex: MyOfficeDesk)

Open WallCooler (Start->All Programs->WallCooler), select Sign In in Manage Account.
Enter your login & password (created in step 2).

Note: Use the same account as in step 3 (WallCooler only requires one account).

If you access the Internet through a proxy, click on Connection Settings... to set it up.

Click on Sign In button.

Details of your account will be displayed, and a connection to the remote computer (MyOfficeDesk) will soon be established.
It can take from several seconds to a minute to connect to the remote computer.
 
Congratulations, the two computers are now connected together.
You can now access computers and resources on the remote network.

The Connection Panel shows the IP address and Computer name which are used locally to access the remote computer.

Click on Open Remote Screen on ... to directly access your remote computer.

Click on Open Remote Shared Drives on ... to directly access all shared files and folders on the remote computer.
Remote Screen requires Remote Desktop to be enabled on the computer you want to access.
Read this note to enable Remote Desktop on a computer.
